Poker lovers, blackjack fans and other players alike, have you tried the Fibonacci betting system? I know we wrote about Oscar’s grinding and Martingale systems, but somehow this one unduly fell through the cracks. The Fibonacci Sequence
You may have heard about the Fibonacci sequence before, or it may have completely bypassed you. It is the number sequence that people usually refer to when talking about the golden ration. In short, it is an indefinite sequence of numbers where every subsequent number represents the sum of the previous two: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34…
Or, to explain it more simply:
0+1=1, 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13, 8+13=21, and so on.
The relation with the Golden Ratio lies in a fact that the ratio of any two successive numbers in a Fibonacci sequence is very close to the Golden ratio (i.e. 1.63…). Golden ratio is the number of complete harmony and balance, and the Fibonacci sequence may just as well be the resource of numbers forming that harmony.
Fibonacci Sequence and Betting
When we apply the Fibonacci sequence to betting, it can form patterns that can lead to winning. It is a negative progression system. As such, it aims for increasing wagers after every loss. This can result in higher bets on winning wagers.
In order to perform this system, you would need to follow a few simple rules:
- First of all, consider each number in a Fibonacci sequence as the number of your units. Therefore, your first wager in each session should always be one unit.
- Secondly, if you lose that wager, the next number of units to wager is again 1, following the Fibonacci sequence. In case you lose that one as well, the following number of units should be 2, then 3, then 5, and so on. You increase the number of wagering units after each loss.
But what happens if you win? It is simple. Contrary to the above rules, if you win, you should decrease the number of units in the following wager by two. For instance, if you win while betting 8 units, your following wager should be on 3 units (see the Fibonacci sequence above).
Exceptions to the Rules
Fibonacci betting system is easy to understand. You lose, you increase the number of units in the following wager by one. You win, you decrease the number of units in the following wager by two. Nevertheless, there are few exceptions to these rules:
- If at any point you are in profit for a session or a cycle, you should start at the beginning of the sequence. This is why playing in a bet safe online casino is very convenient. It makes tracking of your winnings and losses easier.
- The second exception says that you should also start from the beginning if before winning you haven’t moved up at least two numbers.
